Welcome to Tenerife - The city of volcano
Tenerife is the largest of Canary Islands, close to the Africa coast, in the Atlantic Ocean. Tenerife is the most populated island in the whole Spain and here is located the third largest volcano from its base, the Mount Teide: visitors can reach the top by cable lift and visit the Teide National Park. Especially during the last years, Tenerife is one of the most famous holiday destinations in Europe for those who like to travel, enjoy sandy beaches and nightlife: like in all the Canary Islands, tourism is the most productive economic sector. In the capital city of the island, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, there is the symbol of Canary Islands, the Auditorio de Tenerife and it hosts every year the spectacular Carnival de Santa Cruz de Tenerife which is one of the largest carnivals in the world. Other interesting cities in Tenerife are La Laguna, designed as World Heritage Site and Las Americas, especially for tourists.
