In the North East of Italy, Treviso is the most important city for its history and for its heritage.
Situated in Venetian level ground during the Roman period was an important passage to Venice and Istria.
Covered the same important position during the World War I.
In the centre of the city it is possible to visit churches, museums, squares, towers and palaces after having tasted a good Tiramisu (tipical dessert) with great Prosecco wine.

Treviso is famous for the clothing retail Benetton, Sisley, Stefanel Diadora and Lotto Sport Italia, because they were born here.
In the center of the city and in the main street, from Corso del Popolo to Piazza dei Signori and via Calmaggiore, there are many shops of clothes, jewellery store, antique dealer and home furnishing.

During the year it is possible to take part of a lot of events about music (like jazz) and wine (like Spring of Prosecco).
Sightseeing
Treviso is famous for its churches that are in the historical centre of the city.
The most important are: Church of San Francesco, Church of San Nicolo’ and then Cathedral dedicated to Saint Peter.
Furthermore it is possible seeing the Loggia dei Cavalieri, tipical architecture influenzed by Bizantine, Piazza dei Signori with Palazzo del Podesta', Monte di Pieta’ and the cappella dei Rettori and Palazzo dei Trecento: all statement of a glorius past of this city.
In the end it recommend to visit the Civic Museum where are exhibit painting of Tiziano and Arturo Martini and the Etnographic Museum.
