Grosseto history is strictly related with the destruction of the near Roselle that happend with a Saracen invasion, but some human traces demonstrate that its history is older. Grosseto has a vast territory from the Amiata Mountain in which people also can ski that is quite near just an hour by bus or car and arrive to the seaside with some fantastic beaches and you can get in about 20 minutes. Grosseto is known not only for the territory that is near but also for some important artistic construction like Medici walls the St. Lowerence Catherdral that are in the town centre and are majstic and striking.

Grosseto is a University town then there are a lot of things that young people can do, there are pubs, bars and discos and especially in spring and summer you can see a lot of people that simply walk along the street to find a good pub or bar to eat or drink something, it is a liveable town without so much noise

If you want to buy something, Grosseto is a good town, there a lot of different shops in the town centre and thanks to the variety you can choose the best product at the best price. If you arrive in january-february or july-august you can find shops that are in sales and you can discover a lot of products with lower prices.
Sightseeing
Grosseto has some fantastic monuments like the Medici walls that is around the town, the Cathedral that is so big for the square in which is situated and give a striking sensation. If you are interested in art you can visit the archeological museum but if you prefer the nature there is a really beautiful natural park quite near that is called Uccellina's Park that offer a lot of good sight on the sea and you can do three different journeys inside. For beach lovers there are some fantastic place to visit and to have relax moreover in summer like Punta Ala, Castiglion della pescaia and Follonica that are quite near.
