Chania is situated on the northwest coast of Crete. It is the second largest town on the Island .Famous as the most picturesque city that leaves you with a pleasant taste of beauty.Built on the ruins of the ancient Kidonia have seen and survided by many invaders but has also tasted a lot of civilization.Walking through the roads we can notice the Venetian walls that determine the borders between the new and old town.Blended together with modern ,Turkish and traditional architecture it offers an amazing spectacular.A number of internationally famous people were born here such as Domenikos Theotokopoulos , better known as El Greco , Nikos Kazanzakis and Eleftherios Venizelos.

Chania is known for its public market ''Agora'' .The market is located at the centre of town and is unique in Greece as it was built after the market of Marsellies.It is selling products such as fish , meat and vegetables and is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 14:00pm.Furthermore the commercial market of Chania is located in Katola area where visitors can buy clothes , bags , cosmetics , shoes and different kind of home products.
