Anger is located in the west of France, capital of Anjou and prefecture of the department of Maine-et-Loire, Angers has a dense cultural heritage and rich history.
It is the third most populous municipality in the Great West after Nantes and Rennes.
The castle-fortress houses the famous Apocalypse Tapestry, the church of Saint Martin, the Museum of Fine Arts, the David d'Angers Gallery or Museum Jean-Lurçat in the beautiful
St. John's Hospital, the pride 270 000 inhabitants of the metropolis. Not forgetting parks and gardens that offer green and flowering breaks.

Famous place in Angers are place du Ralliement or rue St. Laud, where most of the city bars, clubs are situated. At the Boulevard Foch you will find famous Irish pubs James Joyce, L'Inishmore, L’Kent and Matt Murphy's where a lot of Irish music is played. Other popular bars in Angers are Falstaff and L’Sunset Pub. Both bars are frequented by locals as well as foreigners. Angers’ nightclubs like Disco L’Boléro, Disco L'Ecu de Bretagne, Disco L’Metro and Disco L’Plage can can be very fun, the places are not really big, but the atmosphere is here. L’Bolero is particularly popular with singles, L'Ecu de Bretagne welcomes people for every age.

If you want to shop in Angers, you can go in the downtown core of the city, near the street of Alsace or street Lenepveu, where for the majority of shops. Do not hesitate to visit Atoll, Grand Maine, space of Anjou or where you can eat and shop. Anjou annually attracts bargain hunters from around the world at festive events such as the International Forum of curiosity and flea market or on the occasion of chips Montsoreau.
Sightseeing
City of art and history, Angers will surprise you with the richness of its heritage. The Castle of Angers is one of the best preserved medieval fortresses of France, do not miss to admire its sumptuous gardens and tapestries. St. Maurice Cathedral is the oldest building to present the characteristics of the Angevin Gothic style. You can admire the curved arches with warheads and a beautiful stained glass windows dating from the twelfth, thirteenth and fifteenth centuries. Other notable buildings are the church of Saint-Martin (XII) and Adam's house, a house of the medieval just behind the cathedral.
